Charles Combs - Paramedic

 
     
   

Charles is currently a critical care paramedic and holds Florida flight paramedic certification and is currently pursuing a degree in emergency management with a minor in homeland security.  He started his WMD career as a nuclear weapons specialist in the U.S. Air Force. While in the Air Force, he attended numerous courses including special response team training, and Department of Energy courses. In addition, he held the position of assistant team leader for the Strategic Aircraft Recovery Team, bomb team, assistant explosive safety officer and received his hazmat technician certification. Upon leaving the Air Force, Charles went to EMT school and became involved in tactical medicine. He has since attended and taught tactical emergency medicine to U.S. and foreign personnel. Upon joining the Naval Reserve, he was assigned to Special Operations Command South DET 108 where he held the position of assistant security officer and trained and became certified as an antiterrorism officer level 2 and 3.  Also, he became a senior Navy medical department representative and weapons qualification petty officer.  During this time he was loaned out to numerous other units to help support Operation Enduring Freedom. During Operation Iraq Freedom, Charles was assigned to United States Special Operations Command as the senior Navy medical representative to the Command Surgeon’s office.
