Bill Doniel - St. Petersburg Police Department

 
     
   

William Doniel works for the St. Petersburg Police Department (SPPD) as the Director of the Community Awareness Division. Doniel retired from SPPD after 25 years and recently returned. Prior to retiring, he directed the Community Awareness Division, supervised the Public Information Office, served as executive assistant to the chief of police, supervised the Crime Awareness, Community Relations, Volunteer and Road Patrol units of the police department. Doniel served as the chief department spokesman at all major crime scenes. He represented the chief of police at various community functions and hosted Police Report, a television program. Doniel was the longest-serving public information officer in Florida. Doniel has received numerous awards and has published many articles relating to police media relations.
