Lieutenant Ron Mattino - Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office

 
     
   

Ron Mattino is a resident of Lake Worth, Florida. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Professional Studies from Barry University in Miami, and graduated from the Police Academy at Palm Beach Community College in Lake Worth, Florida.

Lieutenant Mattino is currently in charge of the Problem Oriented Policing Unit for the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office where he has worked for the past 16 years. This unit is comprised of 11 separate units that include: Community Policing, Bicycle Operations, Truancy Interdiction, Police Athletic League, Crime Prevention, Police Explorers, School Resource Officers, Juvenile First Offender Program, SHOCAP, and the Homeless Liaison. During his 16 years he has worked as a patrol officer, canine handler, SWAT member, narcotics agent, gang detective, community-policing sergeant and now as a lieutenant.

Lieutenant Mattino is a board member of the Countywide Community Revitalization Team, The Homeless Coalition of Palm Beach County, and the Palm Beach County Police Athletic League. He also chaired the Neighborhood Partnership Committee for Palm Beach County in 2002.
