Erik Schottenheimer - Miami-Dade Police Department

 
     
   

Erik Schottenheimer is a 22-year veteran of the Miami-Dade Police Department. His current assignment for the past seven years has been with the Training Bureau, Basic Training Section, which is responsible for providing entry-level training for members of participating agencies and pre-service candidates. His duty responsibilities are to develop and improve the knowledge, skills, confidence, and abilities of prospective officers by example and encouragement. Officer Schottenheimer was previously involved in the Department's Training Program with the Field Training Program as a Field Training Officer at the Northside District Station from 1990 to 1995.

Officer Schottenheimer holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Criminology from Florida State University. Prior to entering the law enforcement field, Officer Schottenheimer was a commissioned infantry officer in the United States Army where he honed his teaching skills.
