Deputy Chief Robert Schwartz, Retired - Atlantic City, NJ Police Department

Deputy Chief Schwartz retired in 2005 after having spent over 22 years with the Atlantic City PD.  Prior to this, he worked for the Winslow Township (NJ) PD for 5 years.  His tenure in law enforcement has provided him with the opportunity to experience and serve as an officer, supervisor and commander of all major police units and divisions, and at times serving as Acting Chief of Police during the Chief of Police’s absence.

Schwartz also served as an adjunct professor of law for 13 years at Rowan University and received the “Distinguished Adjunct Professor Award” and was cited as the “Most Outstanding Adjunct Professor.”  In addition, he instructed for the New Jersey Regional Community Policing Institute and the National Conference for Community and Justice.
