The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Community Policing Institute is a 12-week program that exposes citizens to the operations, policies, procedures and services of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

A citizen’s first contact with the Sheriff’s Office is often through a deputy sheriff on patrol. The Citizens Community Policing Institute will introduce you to the complex organization behind the badge. Citizen involvement helps build the partnership between the public and law enforcement, which is so necessary for a safe community.
